FAQ

The following image formats are supported for reading.

Proprietary Formats:

High Speed Camera Specific Formats:

Dongle programming error 1:
Do NOT open this license file in any text editor (Notepad, Word pad etc) before you save it on your hard disk. Save the attached file directly from the e-mail (right click->save as), otherwise the unique dongle code will be changed & there will be a programming error -1.

IAR Read Exception:
The tep-file is corrupt. The .tep file is the Preference Archive, ie where you preference settings are stored. Solution:
1. Close TEMA
2. Search for the file tema.tep on your computer, usually located in C:\ProgramData\tema\<version>.
3. Rename the file tema.tep to tema.tep.BAK
4. Restart TEMA, a new .tep file with default settings will be created. Unfortunately, you will lose your preferences such units, colors etc.

Crypkey -22 error (NGN version outdated (-22 from Crypkey::init):
TEMA 4.0 installs a new ngn version, but it seems like the old ngn process for TEMA 3.9 is still the one that is running. So a mismatch between ngn versions seems to be the problem. Solution:
1. Re-install TEMA 4.0-nnn.
2. Restart the computer VERY IMPORTANT!!!
3. Start TEMA 4.0-nnn.

Crypkey -6 error during installation:
If the installation of TEMA or TrackEye aborts with a -6 error message. Solution:
Locate the file C:\users\<user>\appdata\local\temp\cks.exe
Remove it. Now you can run the installer again. Consult Image Systems to get advice for the future. We need the version number of the program you have installed.

Crypkey -3 error during installation:
Windows 8.1 together with McAfee PREVENTING THE INSTALLATION OF TEMA and/or TrackEye even if the McAfee interface is not active and your computer is not guarded. Solution:
Turn off MacAfee & try to install TEMA again

Crypkey -5 error when upgrading from 3.9-nnn to 4.0-008:
TEMA 4.0 installs a new ngn version, but it seems like the old ngn process for TEMA 3.9 is still the one that is running. So a mismatch between ngn versions seems to be the problem. Solution:
1. Re install 4.0-008
2. Restart the computer VERY IMPORTANT!!!
3. Start 4.0-008
4. Create a new request.txt in 4.0-008 & send it to us
5. Install the new license

Crypkey -5 error (Transfer out complete Get Authorization -5):
This error appears when you are trying to run TEMA via RDP (Remote desktop), but without floating option enabled. Solution:
Log in locally on the computer to create request.txt & install a license.

Bad match The provided license file does not match the previously made request……
License key problem: The license Key is not valid. Please check the spelling carefully:
If you first create a request.txt, send it to us & in the meantime you create a new request.txt before you install the license you will get from us, the license will NOT work because of the different site code & time stamp. It is possible that your email is somehow tampering with the file, as this has been happening with other customers recently.

Solution 1:
Log in locally on the computer to create request.txt & install a license. Reboot if required otherwise the existing crypserv.exe will not be closed properly & the new crypserv will not be able to start correctly. A mismatch between crypserv versions can be the reason.

Solution 2:
We suggest sending a new request file inside of a zip file, and then we will return the license.txt file to you inside of a zip file so the actual file is not touched by email.
